Guess I am one of the old guys.....
The reason I am against having the NENSA quota in the sprint is that it effects our team scores. Our colleges and athletes work hard to race for our teams. For them to not have the full experience to me is not what college skiing is.
I might be old school but I am not afraid of competition. Actually look at the results at Rumford this past weekend for the sprints and the open. UNH had the biggest field of competitors. The "old guy" brought his team to race against the best in the East. The young guys must of needed a day off as they or there team were not there. (except for a few) Did you see the other college head coaches there for the sprints? Only one other for the sprints. Most sent there assistants. How is that for supporting skiing in the East. Actions are better then words sometimes.
The other funny thing is I brought sprinting to a vote at NCAA's for last year competition. No "yungins" supported it. Only Eli from Utah?
